Ongoing identification, acquisition, care and public sharing of historically important artifacts or stories relevant to life in Boise.
During the course of the BOISE 150 celebration, community awareness of Boise’s history was heightened, and many individuals have approached A&H offering to donate various items of interest to Boise history and culture. Examples include the Burns Studio photograph collection, documenting over 100 years of Boise history; Boise Synagogue records; and a large fine art collection of works by Boise artists acquired by a local collector.
Based on this community interest, it is strongly believed that additional personal collections, business records, and three-dimensional objects are available for acquisition if we have the resources to save them, store them properly, and create ways to share them with the public through exhibitions and digital records.
Your donation can help make this possible.
